If I’m being perfectly honest with you, I can’t keep houseplants alive. Ever. I’ve been trying, very unsuccessful, for my entire life. So, rather than continue this venture, I came up with these paper plate flower crafts that we can use to decorate instead!
These flower crafts can be created in any color you’d like. You don’t have to stick with the pink used in the paper plate flower from my example but you are more than welcome to create a duplicate of the one I have on this blog post.

Supply List:
- 2 – 4 inch Paper Plates
- Paint & Paint Brush
- Paint Pens or Markers
- Jumbo Popsicle Stick
- Foam or Construction Paper
- Hot Glue
- Scissors

Instructions:
Paint both plates, 1 dark shade and 1 light shade and let dry

Paint the jumbo popsicle stick green to form the stem, let dry

Add detail by using additional paint designs, paint pens or markers

Cut the plates from the outside down to the outer part of the inner circle to form the petals

Glue the lighter shade plate on top of the darker shade plate
Attach the stem from the back of the flower

Use the foam or construction paper to cut 2 leaf shapes and attach them to the stem of the flower

Your paper plate flower craft is complete!

If you’re looking to spruce up your yard (and it’s not as wet as it is here in the Pacific Northwest) then you can create a whole garden or add a pop of color with these paper plate flower crafts as well.
